16MM MOVIE NIGHT benefits National Children’s Cancer Society on Feb 8

16 MM MOVIE NIGHT at the Way Out Club, 2525 Jefferson in St. Louis, will screen two complete feature films on old-school 16mm film, on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. Admission is free but a donation jar will be set out for the National Children’s Cancer Society (NCCS).

The films to be shown are PANIC IN YEAR ZERO, a 1962 sci-fi/thriller starring Ray Milland, Jean Hagen and Frankie Avalon, and RIDER IN THE RAIN, a 1970 crime/thriller starring Charles Bronson. Both will be shown in the smaller 16mm version of their original 35mm film format –  real film, not DVD versions. The screening is presented by dedicated film preservationists including Tom Stockman of WeAreMovieGeeks.com and gives film fans a chance to experience movies in their original analog format,

NCCS provides support for families of children with cancer, with information, emotional support and financial assistance, among other works.

Come out to see movies on real film reels and support a good cause.
